Direct Streaming
When connected to an ethernet network, the 8c accepts multichannel audio streams up to 192 kHz. No additional equipment is needed, as 8c's digitally sync to each other with nanosecond precision. Currently, both Roon and Spotify are supported streaming sources. Additional sources will be added in the nearby future.
Multi-room streaming
Multiple rooms can easily be set up using Ascend. Each room accepts its own individual stream from each supported source.
Roon
Roon is proprietary software that brings all your music together and adds data such as bios, reviews, photos, lyrics, tour dates, and cross-linked credits for performers, songwriters, producers, engineers, and composers.
To stream from Roon to your 8c room, you have to enable the individual 8c's for playback in Roon's settings. Next select the 8c room name in the main view and play some music.
Spotify
With Spotify, it’s easy to find the right music or podcast for every moment – on your phone, your computer, your tablet and more.
There are millions of tracks and episodes on Spotify. So whether you’re behind the wheel, working out, partying or relaxing, the right music or podcast is always at your fingertips. Choose what you want to listen to, or let Spotify surprise you.
The 8c accepts direct streaming from Spotify. Simply click the device selection button in Spotify, select the 8c room name and play music.
